Living Stories makes interactive games for people, not computers. These games let players have fun with their creativity and learn something in the process. Our games are similar to boxed dinner mysteries, with a character for each player and a setting which you pick.
Customers are the foundation of our stories, because our games are created to fit each event. You pick the genre and style we use for the story. You can also incorporate educational or training elements in the game, such as teamwork, problem solving, or leadership skills.
Playing the game is very simple. Each player is given a character's history and a set of goals. Because the players pursue these goals using information the character would have, and because the players treat each other as though they were the characters, the participants begin to fall into the roles of their characters. This is not the same as acting, because there is no audience to watch–only participants who play along. Also, there is no script to follow. Players are free to follow their goals however they think their character would. The plot progresses as the players make decisions and interact. Although Living Stories creates the beginning, each group creates a completely different ending.
Many companies and universities use scenarios like these to teach problem solving and teamwork. These games have also been used for icebreakers or themed parties. Characters for adults and children can be included in the same game, and since the games are not competitive, they are perfect for family gatherings.
We can write a game for five to fifty players, which can last from a couple hours to an entire weekend. Larger groups are encouraged to contact us for special arrangements. Think of us for company parties, weekend retreats, special occasions, or a memorable get-together with friends.
